How often is the Australian data updated?

Weekly, published after each week closes. Between weekly updates MotoIQ may publish a provisional update of the week in progress, labelled "This week so far" with the time listings were checked. Each price states the week it describes, and a price whose listings are no longer current is labelled a last-known price rather than presented as a current one.

Where do the figures come from?

Advertised listings MotoIQ collects from Australian sources each week. They are asking prices, not sale prices, and MotoIQ publishes no estimate in place of one.

What happens when there are no current listings, or only a few?

With no current listing, MotoIQ shows no current price and says why. With only a few, it shows the price, the number of listings behind it, and a note that it may not represent the wider market. Nothing is modelled, interpolated or carried forward silently; an empty answer is a real answer.
